The Dullahan doesn't haunt or hover. He rides: black horse, black road, a skull-lantern held high to light the way. When he stops outside a house, it isn't a warning. It's an announcement.

No door was ever built to keep him out. Locks don't hold him, and pleading doesn't move him. Ireland's headless rider isn't cruel, exactly. He's procedural. Death has an appointment, and the Dullahan is simply the one who keeps it.

He isn't hunting you. He's confirming an appointment that was made long before tonight, one neither of you gets to reschedule. Some visitors bring news. The Dullahan brings certainty, and there's a strange kind of peace in that, if you're willing to look at it that way.

Hang him by the door. He's used to being the one who arrives.
