The Hollow Crone

Some art doesn't decorate a room so much as claim it.

Every old wood carries a story about who's really in charge of it, and it's rarely the people who think they own the land. The Hollow Crone has kept this forest longer than any deed or fence line, and she doesn't recognize either one.

Some boundaries were drawn before there were words for them. Wander too far past dusk and the paths stop making sense, the moss grows the wrong direction, and something old watches from just past where the light reaches. She isn't waiting for you. She's simply still here, the way she always has been.

She doesn't need to chase anyone off. The forest does that on her behalf, closing in a little tighter every time someone forgets whose ground they're standing on. Respect gets you back out. Nothing else has been tested.

Give her a wall and she'll do what she's always done — make the space hers.
